October 31

October 31 (co-authored with Branca Fabrício). São Paulo: Ática, 1994.

This book is part of a 12-volume series of readers (Buddies) for secondary schools in Brazil. The stories revolve around the adventures of a group of friends from childhood into their teenage years, and they deal with relevant issues for that age group such as friendship, concerns about the future, changes in their bodies, leisure and relationships. While entering the password to a video game called October 31 some kids are taken by surprise by the sound of thunder, and they are transported to a strange world where the characters of that game, including witches, skeletons, mummies, vampires and other dangerous creatures, become real.
