This book is part of a 12-volume series of readers (Buddies) for secondary schools in Brazil. The stories revolve around the adventures of a group of friends from childhood into their teenage years, and they deal with relevant issues for that age group such as friendship, concerns about the future, changes in their bodies, leisure and relationships. Mystery at the campsite takes place at a summer camp where seven children (Bobby, Plumpy, Woopie, Louis, Tootsie, Priscilla and Maurice) and a dog (Alfie) discover that there is a serious problem affecting the whole region.
